No! Never! The whole point is that you can come and sing feeling comfortable, relaxed and part of a singing family.

Is it a mixed choir?

Yes. Men and women both welcome. We sing in four part harmony. Haven’t met a woman yet who can sing a bottom F!

The first session is FREE. It is then £5.50 for a two hour session if you commit to paying monthly for the year ahead or part year if you join part way through. You can pay weekly but the charge is then £6.50.

No. First taster sessions are always FREE

Is there a joining fee?

No. First taster sessions are always FREE

Do I have to have any experience?

No. If you can speak you can sing.

I don’t know whether my voice is high or low?

Don’t worry. Sam will help you with that. She usually recommends a starting point based on your speaking voice but you can then move to where you feel more comfortable if necessary.

What type of songs do you sing?

It is very varied. Recent examples are: Run by Snow Patrol. Close To You by The Carpenters. Build Me Up Buttercup by The Foundations. Tebe Poem, a Russian prayer song. Its broadly pop from the 1920’s onwards with a bit of jazz, blues, world and folk thrown in.

How old do you have to be?

La La are mixed adult choirs. Members who are under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or carer but only after discussion with Sam. If we haven’t been able to answer your question here, please use the contact page to get in touch.
