UPDATE WEDNESDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER
What a great few weeks it been since our Summer break ended. I cannot believe how much effort everyone has been putting in. Printing sheet music, listening to the MP3′s, attending multiple rehearsals. Thank you SOOOOO much. I already knew our Gala Concert was going to be awesome but you guys are going to ‘blow the bloody doors off’ at this rate.
Ive been talking about the concert at choir this week because I know some people are nervous and for others the pressure is on. I want to reassure you that although I understand you want to do your best and am grateful for that, I dont want any worry or pressure to spoil it for you. Remember when we first talked about this concert. I asked if you fancied putting on a ridiculously big concert for a laugh and you said yes. We all thought it was hilarious that we were going to do it and now we are. But for those reasons. To enjoy it, to show people how much fun singing is, not how perfect we are or how well we roll our r’s!!
We are La La. One big happy family of people who come together for the joy of singing and we want to share that with others. SIMPLES! So keep that in mind every step of the way because although there will be a big audience, this concert is for you. I want to celebrate how wonderful you are. I simply cannot wait to see your beaming faces when you hear yourselves, 200 strong, in a beautiful venue singing at the top of your voices. Oh Happy Day!
Much love always
