La La Choir help raise money for Sidmouth Lifeboat

Sidmouth lifeboat is the fourth emergency service for all of us who live, work and play in and around the east Devon coast. It is on call 24 hours, 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year, to help keep us and our loved ones safe. Several members of past and current crews have been awarded for their bravery, although to the families who were rescued, an award is not nearly enough gratitude. The sidmouth lifeboat is an independent rescue service, run entirely by volunteers, working under the control of H.M coastguard.

Kate Jackson of Ottery Lala, and her 2 relay team mates are swimming the English Channel in July this year, to raise awareness and much needed funds to help keep the station at sidmouth open. They have had several fundraising events over the last 6 months, and several articles written about them in the local papers! The last fundraiser is to be the concert in Ottery.

Lala is our headline act, and other performers include the Talatone handbell ringers, humorous poetry recital by the superb Sue Gooding, and a saxophone recital by Kate! Please help us to make this a really special evening, by encouraging all family and friends to come along, be marvellously entertained and help raise lots of cash for this most vital rescue service.

Ottery St Mary Parish Church, 16th March 2013 @ 7.30pm
